Program for February Meeting:

FRACKING: FROM A NEIGHBOR’S  PROSPECTIVE

Logan MacMillan graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering and Geology. He worked for several major oil and gas companies, such as Amoco and Anadarko, but most of his employment has been as a consultant.

Logan has received awards from several professional societies, including Distinguished Public Service Awards from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the American Institute of Professional Geologists.

He was appointed to serve on the CO Oil & Gas Conservation Commission by Governors Romer and Owens from 1992 – 1997, including time as either co-Chair or Chairman of the Commission.

Logan is an advocate for responsible oil and gas development - including in metro – and urban/suburban-areas. He would like to walk the audience through an example of what that might mean to a subdivision’s residents and the adjacent property owners - using his own circumstances as a homeowner in southwest Denver as an example.
